Caribbean Poker Codes and Pointers

Poker has become globally famous lately, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game shows. Its universal appeal, though, stretches back in reality a bit farther than its TV ratings. Over the years numerous variants on the original poker game have been developed, including some games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely resembling twenty-one than old guard poker, in that the players bet against the bank rather than the other players. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no conniving or different kinds of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up before the croupier declares "No more wagers." At that instance, both you and the dealer and of course every one of the different gamblers receive 5 cards each. Once you have observed your hand and the dealer’s initial card, you need to either make a call wager or accede. The call wager’s value is on same level to your original bet, indicating that the risks will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your bet goes directly to the casino. After the wager is the showdown. If the casino doesn’t have ace/king or better, your wager is returned, including a sum equal to the ante. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand is greater than the bank’s hand. The bank pays out money even with your original bet and controlled odds on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for 2 pairs
  • three to one for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • twenty to one for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
