Hold’em is all about players and position. All experienced Texas Holdem enthusiasts agree that position in no limit Holdem is critically important. Playing your hole cards in last spot can be a whole lot more profitable than in starting poker spot. The reason because much more data is collected prior to acting.
For example, I was playing a $1-$2 no limit money match at a local spot. I limped in with 2, 9 unsuited on the croupier button, so I could partake in a little fun. Flop came down A-A-4. A player in early position laid a $15 wager. Two individuals drop out and it was my turn. I really should have dropped out, but something seemed a bit off. I labeled this individual as a weak-tight person, and usually if he had the best hand he would just check, so I called.
The turn showed with a 7, meaning it was a A-A-4-7. My opposer placed an additional wager of $20. I debated for a while, but decided to re-raise a further $30thirty dollars over and above his twenty dollars. He dropped out and I take the chips.
Betting at late position provides you an idea where you are positioned by observing how individuals behave and wager. On the flip side, players at starting position may use their poker position to check-raise the last seated aggressors and trap them afterwords at the end. In Texas Holdem, each spots, late and starting should be played cautiously.
